For best results, we always recommend choosing a darker shade: if your hair is dark brown or medium brown, choose Ecobell Topical Shader dark brown mascara / if your hair is light brown, choose Ecobell medium brown mascara / if your hair is blond, choose Ecobell light brown mascara. Hair mascara can’t lighten hair color, it can only darken it, thus masking gray roots.

Hair mascara: how do I use it?

Hair mascara can be used in a number of ways, for both men and women:

Sheathing hair while coloring it. If volume is your goal, you can also turn to a colored density spray.
Hide white hair and grey roots: especially those located on specific areas such as the temples.
Cover the roots between colorings: mascara can help you space out your colorings. Note, however, that mascara can only darken hair, not lighten it.
Masking a hole in the hair
On a shaved head, mascara can be used to create a brow line (see video below).

Mascara application: Clean, dry hair

To apply mascara, the scalp must be clean and dry.

Step 1: It’s very important to moisten the applicator or sponge sufficiently with warm water. Rub the foam applicator or sponge over the Ecobell Topical Shader mascara so that the applicator is impregnated with product.

Step 2: Apply mascara directly to the scalp in sparse areas, either by dabbing the applicator onto the scalp, or by gently rubbing the scalp. You can also use circular motions for even results.

Step 3: When the area is colored, brush your hair. This distributes the thickening agents through fine hair and helps distribute the color evenly with your hair.

Step 4: Leave the formula to dry for a few minutes. If you’re blow-drying, use a low heat setting. If you’ve curled, permed or braided your hair and can’t brush normally, no problem.

Step 5: When the product is completely dry, brush your hair. The thickening agents will then cling to your hair, increasing its volume tenfold. Brushing your hair also removes excess mascara. You can easily remove any traces of product from the forehead with a damp wipe.

Your hair is now thicker, sheathed, and the gray roots colored. The product will be gone with your next shampoo.
