The colours can be mixed to create an intermediate shade that will blend perfectly with your hair.

For the best finish, always choose a darker shade: dark or medium brown hair → dark brown mascara; light brown hair → medium brown; blonde hair → light brown. The mascara cannot lighten hair colour: it darkens, and thereby conceals grey roots.

Hair mascara: what is it used for?

Hair mascara can be used in several situations, by men and women alike:

• Coating the hair while colouring it. If volume is your priority, also consider a colour thickening spray.
• Hiding grey hair and roots, particularly in precise areas such as the temples.
• Covering roots between two colourings and spacing out your salon appointments. Reminder: the mascara darkens, it doesn’t lighten.
• Concealing a bald patch in the hair.
• On a shaved head, creating or redrawing a hairline (see video below).

Applying the mascara: dry, clean hair

To apply the mascara, the scalp must be clean and dry.

Step 1: moisten the applicator or sponge sufficiently with lukewarm water, then rub it on the Ecobell Topical Shader mascara so it absorbs the product well.

Step 2: apply the mascara directly to the thinning areas of the scalp, by dabbing or rubbing gently. Circular movements give an even result. The applicator allows ideal precision for naturally perfecting the hairline.

Step 3: once the area is coloured, brush your hair to distribute the thickening agents through the fine hair and blend the colour with your own.

Step 4: leave to dry for a few minutes. If blow-drying, use a low temperature. Curly, permed or braided hair that cannot be brushed normally: no problem.

Step 5: once the product is completely dry, brush again: the thickening agents cling to the hair and multiply its volume, while brushing removes any excess mascara. Any marks on the forehead come off with a damp wipe.

The result: thicker, coated hair and coloured grey roots. The product washes out with your next shampoo.
